Steel Futures Drop on Subdued Demand

Chinese rebar and hot-rolled coil futures fell on Thursday as weekly inventory and demand data showed signs of deterioration. On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded, January 2027 rebar contract closed at CNY 3,122/tonne ($465.5/t) on Thursday, down CNY 4/t versus the prior trading day.
