Vanadium weekly review (January 22-26, 2018): Chinese vanadium bidding prices adjust within a small range

| www.ferroalloynet.com: This week vanadium bidding prices shrink slightly and vanadium-nitrogen bidding prices generally stabilize at about 285000 rmb/ton with tax. Vanadium pentoxide flake major producers quote in the same range of 180000-190000 rmb/ton but are yet to sign new orders. Ferrovanadium 50# is 190000-200000 rmb/ton; ferrovanadium 80# is 304000-320000 rmb/ton; and vanadium-nitrogen is 290000-300000 rmb/ton (all prices above include tax).

This week ammonium metavanadate transaction prices fall slightly with some deas reported in a range of 160000-165000 rmb/ton with tax. The operating rate and the output of ammonium metavanadate still sit at lows, and some producers extracting vanadium from stone coal want to resume. Shaanxi Huayuan has restart but the output is small at present. Since the market prices stabilize, the transaction volume remains at lows as the downstream producers show little interest in procurement. |
