Russian ferrovanadium prices continue to increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 18 – Currently, prices for ferrovanadium 50%min from Russian suppliers for April’s contracts are RUB2,290-2,360/kg (USD80.2-82.7/kg V), increasing by about RUB310/kg (USD10.9/kg V) compared with March’s contracts. Encouraged by orders from regular clients, local suppliers will hold the price steady in the following week.

“We bought about 10t of ferrovanadium 50%min for April from our regular supplier at about USD80.2/kg V early this week, up by about USD6.7/kg V from two weeks ago, but increasing by about USD9.8/kg V compared with our last purchases of 10t in late February for March,” said a Russian ferrovanadium 50%min trader, adding that the price for the material will be firm next week.
