Blue Sky Uranium Reports Progress On Exploration And Development Work At The Amarillo Grande Uranium-vanadium Project

Blue Sky Uranium Corp. (TSX-V:BSK, OTCQB:BKUCF) has reported progress on exploration and development work at the Amarillo Grande Uranium-Vanadium Project in Rio Negro Province, Argentina, including process design testwork, resource evaluation, and drilling programs.
Regarding the process design testwork for the Ivana deposit, uranium and vanadium leach tests were completed on a composite bulk sample. The optimized leach conditions resulted in a uranium recovery rate of 96% and a vanadium recovery rate of 35%. Preparations are now underway for testing membrane filtration as the next step in the milling process.
The company also highlighted the advancement of modeling work conducted by external consultants to evaluate the impact of additional drilling and density measurements on the project’s mineral resources. The aim is to refine the boundaries of the deposit and potentially upgrade the category of mineral resources.
Blue Sky Uranium noted that the drilling program at Ivana East was temporarily delayed due to technical issues with the drilling rig. Once the issues are resolved, the program will resume. This program is part of the company’s approach to evaluate targets near the Ivana deposit that could expand the project’s resource base.
The company provided details on the drilling program at Ivana Central, which was completed in 2022. The program consisted of 43 scout holes, with 18 of them intercepting the target REDOX front. The REDOX front, characterized by “black” sandstones with organic matter and disseminated pyrite, spans a significant corridor of approximately 2.4 kilometers in length and 1 kilometer in width. The company also reported the presence of additional radiometric anomalous horizons in several holes.
Blue Sky Uranium is continuing its ongoing exploration program, including regional prospecting mapping, sampling, and radiometric surveys in the southern sector of the Amarillo Grande project. The company aims to detect Pb-isotopic anomalies that may be associated with uranium-sandstone type deposits or REDOX fronts.
The Amarillo Grande Uranium-Vanadium Project is a significant uranium district controlled by the company, with the Ivana deposit as its cornerstone. The project has potential for both sandstone-type and surficial-type uranium-vanadium deposits, and the company’s strategy includes delineating resources at multiple areas and advancing the project to the prefeasibility level.
Blue Sky Uranium holds exclusive rights to properties in two provinces in Argentina and is part of the Grosso Group, a resource management group with extensive experience in exploration in the country.
