The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other entities have adjusted the technical requirements for new energy vehicles eligible for tax exemptions on vehicle purchases from 2026 to 2027. This includes a requirement that the electricity consumption per 100 kilometers for pure electric passenger vehicles should not exceed the energy consumption limits specified in Part One of ‘Electric Vehicle Energy Consumption Limits: Passenger Vehicles’ (GB 36980.1-2025) for corresponding models.
