EU fails to lift Trump’s 50% steel tariff, proposed deal doesn’t even include lowering it
EU steel exporters face a “catastrophic” tariff imposed by Trump – twice as high as the one imposed on the UK. And according to The Guardian, the latest proposal for a trade deal between the EU and the US does not include the removal or even a reduction of the punitive 50% tariff that Donald Trump imposed on steel imports.
