Xinjiang Liquid Flow Energy Storage Karamay All-vanadium/Iron-chromium Flow Battery Production Project (Phase I) Has Entered The Commissioning And Production Stage

On July 30, in the Baijiantan District of Karamay City (Karamay High-tech Zone), in the first phase workshop of the full vanadium/iron chromium flow battery production project invested by Xinjiang Liquid Flow Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., the staff is debugging the equipment and preparing for trial production.

The project has a total investment of 3 billion yuan and started construction in February this year. Wan Zhenliang, general manager of Xinjiang Liquid Flow Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., said that Karamay’s regional advantages and good business environment are the reasons why they chose to invest and build factories here.

“In addition, the all-vanadium/iron-chromium flow battery produced by the company has the characteristics of high safety, large capacity, and less maintenance, and has strong market competitiveness. We are full of confidence in the future. After the first phase of the project is put into production, the annual output value will reach 4.5 billion yuan.” Wan Zhenliang said.

This year, Karamay City has firmly grasped the project’s “bull nose” and took various measures to fight the “combined boxing” of project construction to promote the quality, speed and efficiency of major project construction at a high level. Through daily scheduling, monthly notification, quarterly analysis, etc., ensure the employment, materials, machinery, equipment and other elements, and timely discover and coordinate to solve the blocking problems encountered in the process of project advancement.

In the first half of this year, 32 key projects in Karamay City were completed and put into use. Among them, Xinjiang Jingpin New Energy Co., Ltd.’s 12GW high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon rod and silicon wafer project (Phase I) was successfully ignited and tested, and Yipu New Materials Co., Ltd.’s annual output of 720,000 tons of differentiated polymer new material project (Phase I) has been completed and scheduled to reach production in September. In the third quarter, a number of key projects such as the 2×660 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired cogeneration project, the Xiaoguai Township Irrigation Water Supply Project in Karamay District, and the new energy project of PetroChina Xinjiang Oilfield Company will start construction soon.

In the second half of this year, Karamay City will continue to strengthen project scheduling, and make every effort to complete the annual investment target of 46.5 billion yuan.

Each project clearly defines the leadership, responsible departments, and annual goals, and compacts work responsibilities at all levels, strengthen the cooperation of various functional departments, form a good situation in which the whole city works together to focus on major projects, and race against time to promote the construction of projects.

“In the next step, Karamay City will also focus on the autonomous region’s ‘eight major industrial clusters’ and the city’s ‘one main multi-diversified’ industrial system to carry out research and plan layouts, and plan a number of major projects related to the long-term development of Karamay City.” Yu Peng Fei said.
