Vanadium weekly review (April 9-13, 2018): Vanadium market sees weaker demand from steel mills

Date: Apr 13, 2018 This week Chinese vanadium alloy bidding prices are decreased. Vanadium pentoxide market prices have no obvious change but the supplies remain tight. Major companies remain V2O5 flake prices unchanged and haven’t signed new orders yet. There is only small quantity of spot turnover at present.

Ammonium metavanadate market sees few transactions this week. Brokers adjust the prices slightly, major suppliers remain prices firm, and some participants still focus on unfinished orders. The factories extracting vanadium from stone coal are still under overhaul and most of them are yet to resume. The market is full of wait-and-see sentiment, mainly impacted from downstream market.
