Vanadium processing looking good for Technology Metals

Date: Sep 13, 2018

A high purity (99.53%) vanadium oxide product was produced from a precipitate that recovered in excess of 98% of the vanadium in a leach solution generated from salt roasting of the magnetic concentrate from Gabanintha.

“Both the solution and final product produced from this testwork are regarded as extremely clean and low in solution impurities,” Technology Metals said.

The company’s MD Ian Prentice is currently in China promoting the project.

A prefeasibility study completed earlier this year estimated a mining and processing development (and featuring the “conventional salt roast/water leach processing technique”) would cost A$380 million.

The definitive feasibility for the project is due to be completed in mid-2019, with the anticipated annual prod…
