Vanadium market players inspired by Benxi Steel’s bidding price for vanadium-nitrogen alloy

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Aug 18 – Via the bidding that Benxi Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. just closed, the company decided to purchase 50t of vanadium-nitrogen alloy at RMB362,000/t (USD68.07/kg V) Ex-VAT delivered D/A 6 months, equivalent to RMB419,900/t (USD78.95/kg V) Inc-VAT.
Slightly higher than expected, this bidding price inspires market players and effectively stymies the current slow decreases in vanadium products’ prices.
