Russian ferrovanadium prices increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 1 Mar 18 – Russian ferrovanadium 50%min prices are RUB1,980-2,030/kg (USD70.3-72.0/kg V) this week, increasing by about RUB230/kg (USD8.16/kg V) over the past two weeks. As there is small spot supply in Russia, the price for the material may go up slightly further next week.

“We ordered about 10t of ferrovanadium 50%min from a local major supplier at about USD70.8/kg V this week, increasing by about USD8.7/kg V compared with early February for the same volume,” said a Russian ferrovanadium 50%min trader, adding that as there is small spot supply in the market, he thinks that the price from the supplier will be about USD72.6/kg V for new contracts this week.
