Russian ferrovanadium prices firm

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 May 18 – Current mainstream prices for ferrovanadium 50%min from Russian suppliers for May’s contracts are RUB2,460-2,560/kg (USD82.3-85.7/kg V) in the domestic market, rarely changed from last week. Local buyers make purchases based on firm orders and the price for the material will be rarely changed this week.
“The price for ferrovanadium 50%min from our supplier is about RUB2,465/kg (USD82.6/kg V) at present, in line with last week, and we may order about 12t this month at the price, increasing by about USD2.4/kg V compared with April’s contracts for 12t, which were signed at the beginning of April,” said a Russian ferrovanadium 50%min trader, adding that they only received above 12t last week from the supplier due to small spot supply. He thinks that the price from the supplier will be steady at high level this week.
