Most market insiders are optimistic about price trend in the near future, believing that prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy would remain stable at the current high level in the coming week.

A producer in North China quotes vanadium-nitrogen alloy at RMB420,000/t (USD79.57/kg V) Inc-VAT delivered D/A 6 months now, unchanged from last week. The source said, “Now we have no difficulties in selling vanadium-nitrogen alloy, and in addition, supply of raw material is tight. We make sales mainly with our existing clients; and if a new client offers good payment terms, we can give a discount of RMB2,000/t (USD0.38/kg V) at most, but the payments must be done within one week after delivery is made.” The source last sold 10t of the material at RMB418,000/t (USD79.20/kg V) Inc-VAT delivered D/A 6 months last Thursday, and believed that prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy would remain stable in the coming week owing to active transactions on the market.
