Base metals Mined zinc output in China’s Sichuan province dropped almost 70% month on month in August following environmental inspections that led to the suspension of most zinc mines there.  Revenue from the commodities business of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) fell by 7% year-on-year to HK$1.096 billion ($140 million) in the year to September on a decline in trading fees at its subsidiary, the London Metal Exchange, according to HKEX’ financial report published on Wednesday November 8.
