BEIJING (Asian Metal) 13 Jun 18 – Mainstream transaction prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy V77N16 stand at RMB305,000-308,000/t (USD61.86-62.47/kg V) Inc-VAT delivered D/A six months now, up sharply by RMB18,000/t (USD3.65/kg V) from last week. Market participants hold strong intentions to expect the prices up with higher offers emerging again and again, waiting for market transaction prices’ following up. It is expected that prices for Chinese vanadium-nitrogen alloy V77N16 would keep a continuous uptrend in the coming week.

A producer in North China claimed that they offer RMB310,000/t (USD62.88/kg V) delivered D/A six months for vanadium-nitrogen alloy V77N16 now, up by RMB18,000/t (USD3.65/kg V) from last week. He said, “As vanadium slag is banned from imports and domestic environmental protection situation is very severe, raw material vanadium pentoxide flake is in short supply with high prices, supporting sharp increase of prices for vanadium-nitrogen alloy. We received an enquiry from a consumer today who planned to purchase 20t of vanadium-nitrogen alloy V77N16 at RMB305,000/t (USD61.86/kg V) delivered D/A six months, while we did not accept the order and I believe that the price would exceed MB310,000/t (USD62.88/kg V) delivered D/A six months.”
