Chinese Rebar Output In 2023 May Keep Stable Or Decline

www.ferroalloynet.com: According to Iron and Steel Research Institute, the rebar steel output in the last nine months was 176.353 million tons and the output in the last nine months of 2022 was 175.487 million tons with a yea –on-year increase of 0.49%. The key reason for this increase was from the increase of completed area of the house in China this year. According to statistics from the Bureau of Statistics, the housing construction area of real estate development enterprises was 8,156.88 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 7.1% from January to September 2023. Among them, the residential construction area was 5,742.5 million square meters, a decrease of 7.4% compared with 2022. The area of newly started housing construction was 721.23 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 23.4%. Among them, the area of newly started residential construction was 525.12 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 23.9%. The completed housing area was 487.05 million square meters, an increase of 19.8% compared to that in 2022. Among them, the completed residential area was 353.19 million square meters, an increase of 20.1% compared to that in 2022.
