Chinese ammonium metavanadate prices soar

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Sep 18 – Mainstream prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min are RMB274,000-277,000/t (USD18.53-18.73/lb V) Inc-VAT EXW D/P at present, up by RMB20,000/t (USD1.35/lb V) from last week supported by the tight supply. It is predicted that prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min would reach RMB300,000/t (USD20.29/lb V) in the coming week due to active enquiries of consumers and the overall upward trend.
A producer in South China noted that he quotes RMB240,000/t (USD16.23/lb V) Ex-VAT EXW D/P or RMB278,000/t (USD18.80/lb V) Inc-VAT for ammonium metavanadate 98%min currently, up by RMB21,000/t (USD1.42/lb V) from last week. He said. “We sold 60t of the material at RMB257,000/t (USD17.38/lb V) Inc-VAT EXW D/P early last week and hold limited stocks now. If there is purchase demand, we can accept a counter-offer of RMB1,000/t (USD0.07/lb V) at most based on the current quotation with the delivery to be made upon receiving payments.” He predicted that prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min would reach RMB300,000/t (USD20.29/lb V) Inc-VAT EXW D/P in the coming week.
