Chinese ammonium metavanadate prices down seriously

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 23 May 18 – Mainstream prices for ammonium metavanadate 98%min are in the range of RMB169,000-172,000/t (USD12.29-12.51/lb V) EXW D/P now, down by RMB2,000/t (USD0.15/lb V) from last week. Suppliers have strong intentions to support the prices but with sluggish market transactions, so it is predicted that prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate would keep bearing pressure of downtrend in the coming week.
A producer from North China claimed that their company quotes RMB172,000/t (USD12.51/lb V) EXW D/P for ammonium metavanadate 98%min at the moment. He said, “Early this week, we received enquiries from consumers who intended to purchase 10t of ammonium metavanadate at just RMB168,000/t (USD12.22/lb V) EXW D/P which was obviously lower than our bottom price line. After negotiations for many times, we concluded the deal at RMB170,000/t (USD12.36/lb V) EXW D/P finally.” The source expected that prices for Chinese ammonium metavanadate would keep stable weakly in the coming week.
